Project Examples:

Studio C - Sherman Oaks

This project began as a two car garage below an ADU (auxiliary dwelling unit). The remodel called for three distinct areas with the original space, a master voice over space, where the owner would spend the majority of his production working time. There was a music room, and also an engineering room.. The owner is a voice actor who often records books, and other low noise floor content, requiring this studio to perform consistently at a very low noise level despite being in the heart of Sherman Oaks.

Studio c is in a high noise environment with construction, road noise, and is directly under the flight path of the Van Nuys Airport. It was designed with multiple walls, multiple layers of a diaphramatic membrane consisting of MLV (mass loaded viny) , and numerous other specialty construction techniques to achieve project success.

Closet Conversion

This home is located in a very quiet area, and a small closet is just the right amount of space to produce auditions, commercials and other short form content.

We cleaned up the space in the existing closet, removed the existing closet hardware, the dowel used to hang clothes and built a special purpose shelf that lives above the cloud above the the talent's workspace. This allowed for studio related storage (microphone box etc.). By adding the sound panels, the space is capable of producing content suitable for any production standard.

By no longer having to commute to a studio for auditions, this owner saves thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours every year by converting a small closet into a high performance recording studio only steps away from the home-office..
